Activating two factor authentication on your Mindbeat Email Account

This document will guide you through process of setting up two-factor authentication for your Mindbeat Gmail account.

Sign in your Mindbeat.app email account at the following URL : https://accounts.google.com. In the menu on the left side of the page one should select the Security option from the options.

In the Security page shown, click on 2-Step Verification under the Signing into Google section.

In the 2-Step Verification page you will be guided to start setting up the 2-Step Verification on the Mindbeat.app Email Account. To proceed with the setup, click the Get Started button!

To verify that you are the same person setting up the account, you will be requested to re-enter the password that was setup previously for the same email account. After entering the password kindly press the Next button.

In the next screen you will be requested to enter your phone number. This will be used as the device on which the two-factor authentication code is sent.

By pressing on the Flag shown next to the field where you are requested to enter your phone number, you will be able to choose the country code of your mobile phone number.

Then you will be requested to enter your phone number next to the country code selected. At the bottom of the same page, you need to choose whether you would like to receive the authentication via text message or a phone call. Finally, you may choose the Next button to proceed to the following page.

Once the option to get your code via text message has been chosen, you will get to the below screen. In the Enter the code field you will be requested to enter the same code that you received on your phone via sms. The code received on your phone should start with the letter G followed by 6 numbers (G-123456). In the page provided at this stage, you only need to enter the 6 digits. Following this you would need to press the Next button.

Once the correct code has been entered on the page, you will get to with the following page. A confirmation that the 2-step verification was setup successfully would be presented. To finalise the setup of the two-factor authentication you now need to press the Turn On button on the bottom right.

Following the 2-Step Verification, one will be provided with additional options that can be options for 2-factor authentication. Setting these options are not a requirement currently. At the top right corner of the same window, one can select the 9 dots as shown in the below screenshot and a selection of different services offered on the Mindbeat email account will be shown here too. To access the email account, you will be required to access the Gmail icon from the list provided.
