Mindbeat Email Account with two factor authentications

This document will guide you through process of setting up your Mindbeat email account in the most secure manner possible. Please go through this whole document to ensure that all steps are completed otherwise you might find yourself locked out of your email account!

Navigate to https://accounts.google.com in your Web Browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or any other Internet Browser of your preference)

In the email field first enter your Mindbeat email address, then press Next.

In the following screen, you will be asked for your temporary password. Kindly enter the password provided for your email account.

The terms and conditions of the same Mindbeat email account will be shown in the following screen. After going through the terms and conditions you are required to accept these terms by pressing the blue Accept button at the bottom of the screen.

For security purposes you will then be requested to enter a new password for your account.

In the following screen you will be requested to setup two factor authentication. This authentication is an extra layer of security to verify that the people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are. First, enter your username and a password, then you will be required to provide another piece of information.

Please complete this step now, otherwise there is a chance that you will be locked out of your account. Press the Enroll button in the below screenshot to begin the setup process.

To verify that you are the same person setting up the account, you will be requested to re-enter the password that was setup previously for the same email account. After entering the password press the Next button.

In the next screen you will be requested to enter your phone number. This will be the device where the two-factor authentication code will be sent.

By pressing on the Flag shown next to the field where you are requested to enter your phone number, you will be able to choose the country code of your mobile phone number.

Then you will be requested to enter your phone number next to the country code selected. At the bottom of the same page, you need to choose whether you would like to receive the authentication via text message or a phone call. Finally, you click the Next button to proceed to the following page.

Once the option to get your code via text message has been chosen, you will be presented with the below screen. In the Enter the code field you will be requested to enter the same code that you received on your phone via SMS. The code received on your phone should start with the letter G followed by 6 numbers (G-123456). In the page provided at this stage, you only need to enter the 6 digits. Following this you would need to press the Next button.

Once the correct code has been entered on the page, you will get to with the following page. A confirmation that the 2-step verification was setup successfully would be presented. To finalise the setup of the two-factor authentication you now need to press the Turn On button on the bottom right.

The next page will contain a report of the details inputted while setting up the two factor authentication. At the top right corner of the same window, one can select the 9 dots as shown in the below screenshot and a selection of different services offered on the Mindbeat email account will be shown here too. In order to access the email account, you will be required to access the Gmail icon from the list provided.

The Gmail page would now be shown, with a window showing the option to enable the Smart features on the same email account. It is suggested to enable the Smart feature options which would assist in the day-to-day usage of this email service. When the preferred option for the Smart features has been selected one should press the Next button.

The next window will provide options for personalisation of the Email account being setup. It is suggested that the option to personalise other Google products with your Gmail, Chat and Meet data are selected. Finally press the Done button.

Finally, you will be presented with your Mindbeat email account where you will now be able to access all emails received.
